💜 We Are Building Our Board!

Serving on the Gianna Cirella Memorial Fund Board is a rewarding experience and an opportunity for personal and professional growth. We will be filling some additional board seats and creating several committees to assist in our everyday goals, as well as our two big annual events.

If you or someone you know are interested in joining us as a committee member, we want to hear from you.

About Gianna

Gianna, 16 years old of Warwick, RI developed a sore throat Oct. 13, 2017, that worsened into pneumonia, then sepsis, a life-threatening blood infection. Doctors amputated her leg in hopes of curbing the infection, however, multiple vital organs continued to fail. On November 1st, Gianna passed away. The disease that got into Gianna's beautiful little body was much larger than her. The disease won, but not without the most courageous battle.

Our Mission

The Gianna Cirella Memorial Fund has been established to provide assistance for sepsis research, education and to children and their families who have been affected by sepsis.
