Tara Cirella
President
Tara and her husband Skip founded the Gianna Cirella Memorial Fund in 2018 to honor the memory of their daughter Gianna and improve sepsis awareness and outcomes.

In the years since, the GCMF has:
-
Worked with the State of RI and Department of Health to pass legislation mandating sepsis protocols and training in every medical facility, including Urgent Care Centers
-
Provided for several families whose children were diagnosed with and successfully treated for sepsis
-
Continued to provide care bags to families in need at Hasbro PICU, which also includes information about how to access our organization should they need further assistance, especially where sepsis is involved

In addition to leading the GCMF, Tara is the Billing Coordinator at the Law office of Higgins, Cavanagh & Cooney, LLP. She and Skip live in Warwick with their daughter Cassie, who is a graduate of Coastal Carolina University with a B.S. in Mental Health Psychology and Minors in WGST & Sociology 2025.
