Our Board of Directors

Ann MacDonald
Ann joined the board of the GCMF in 2024.
A longtime resident of South County, she enjoys spending time with her extended family and skating at the URI ice rink. Although she worked as a medical writer and editor for most of her career, Ann knew little about sepsis until it killed her mother in 2009.
Ann is grateful for the work that Tara and Skip Cirella and the GCMF have done since 2018 to help promote sepsis awareness, enact regulations to improve care, and honor Gianna’s memory by saving others.
She wrote about sepsis before joining the GCMF board (see below) and now wants to do everything possible to help further the Fund’s mission.
